(VOVworld) – A ceremony to mark the 110th birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong was held at his memorial site in central Quang Ngai province on Tuesday.
Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and a number of Party, state, and government representatives attended the event. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Pham Van Dong was a great politician, theorist, diplomat, and cultural activist, who devoted his life to national liberation and socialist building.
Mr. Phuc said: “The Party, army, and people will continue to unite to develop and consolidate the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Our ultimate goal is to build a strong nation and a wealthy people with democracy and civilization as wished for by President Ho Chi Minh, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, and other late and former Party leaders.”
