The PM pointed out limitations and challenges, such as macro-economic stability facing potential risks; the severe impacts of typhoon Yagi, which has required many northern localities to focus on recovery; domestic production, business, and export difficulties; and the necessity to resolve certain legal, regulatory, and policy inconsistencies.

He noted that the tasks for the remaining months of 2024 are still heavy, given a lot of difficulties and challenges internationally and domestically. This requires all levels, sectors, and localities to make greater efforts and take more resolute and effective actions to strive for the comprehensive achievement of set goals and tasks.

The PM underlined the need to take advantage of markets, promote the three growth drivers, expand the export market. “It is necessary to actively overcome the consequences of typhoon Yagi, and remove difficulties and obstacles, especially in mobilizing resources from the people, society, and the private sector," said Mr Chinh.

The overall socio-economic situation in September, the third quarter, and the first nine months of 2024 showed a recovery trend month by month and quarter by quarter. Vietnam's GDP grew 7.4% in the third quarter and 6.82% in the first nine months of 2024. Macro-economic stability was maintained while inflation was under control and major balances were ensured.
