Russia always welcomes domestic and foreign investors who want to pour capital into its economy, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at the investment forum “Russia calling”.

Putin expressed his hope that investment capital will be followed by the advanced technology, management experience, and optimal production models foreign businesses have to offer. The Russian economy is poised to grow, spurred by Government efforts to launch a new economic development model, technology, and domestic business environment, and develop human resources.

The investment forum has brought together 1,500 participants including 500 big investors from Russia, the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Among the main topics of discussion are strategic priorities for development to meet changes in global economic markets, the establishment of the Common Economic Space, and Russia's official membership in the WTO.
