(VOVWORLD) -The Party and State pay attention to and create conditions for religious organizations to operate according to the motto "good life, good religion," said Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Mass Mobilization Commission.

The senior Party official on Sunday visited and congratulated the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Archbishopric of the Hanoi Archdiocese on the 80th National Day of Vietnam (September 2).

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr. Nghia said that throughout the revolutionary journey, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has accompanied the nation, promoted the tradition of "protecting the nation, pacifying the people", and contributed to strengthening the great national unity.

“In every period, the Party and President Ho Chi Minh paid attention to religious policies and respected and ensured religious freedom. The Party and State have issued Resolution 43 on the policy of great national unity.”

On behalf of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, said the Sangha will continue to unite and accompany the nation as well as encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to uphold patriotism.
