Number of complaints and letters of denunciation on land issues accounts for 70% of all complaints.

(VOVworld) – The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Tuesday discussed a report on the supervision of policies and legal documents regarding public complaints and denunciations, over lands issues and other related administrative decisions. The report shows that from 2003 to 2010, the number of complaints and letters of denunciation on land issues had risen to account for 70% of all complaints. The Standing Committee said that the figure reflects the shortcomings in administrative management over land and should be improved immediately. The National Assembly’s Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu says ‘The reason behind this is due to not only the procedures when dealing with complaints and denunciations but also due to the complex regulations and policies, including legal documents, on land prices, land clearance and compensation to support resettlement.

On the same day, National Assembly’s Standing Committee discussed the revised law on the prevention of corruption.
