(VOVworld) – Hundreds of Palestinians rioted in Jerusalem on Wednesday after the body of a Palestinian teenager was found in a forest.

Protestors in Shuafat and Beit Hanaina in eastern Jerusalem burned tires, and threw stones and pipe bombs at Israeli police and soldiers, who sprayed tear gas to disperse the crowd. Around 50 Palestinians and 5 Israeli policemen were injured in the clashes.

Palestinians said the murder was Jewish revenge for the 3 abducted Israeli teenagers killed in the West Bank. Israeli authorities said investigation of the incident was still underway.
