At a press conference in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the EU’s new sanctions list ‘absurd’.

He said Western countries are trying to find more individuals and entities to punish and it is completely unreasonable to put unrelated Russian individuals and entities on the sanctions list.

On Saturday, the EU introduced its 10th package of sanctions against Russia. The new restrictions affect 121 individuals and legal entities.

The same day, several countries, including the US, the UK, New Zealand, and South Korea, also announced new sanctions against Russia.
