The Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday in its communiqué that the issues were touched upon between the two Russian deputy foreign ministers, Vladimir Titov and Igor Morgulov, and North Korean First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan.  Russia underscored the need for joint efforts to ease tension and create the conditions for a swift resumption of six-party talks on the basis of principles agreed in the declaration of September 19th, 2005. The communiqué said normalizing the situation on the peninsula would enable Russia and North Korea to significantly improve their relations, especially the implementation of large-scale multilateral economic projects.
