The US has reached separate agreements with Russia and Ukraine to temporarily halt attacks on energy infrastructure, which marks the first step toward de-escalating the conflict.
Dmitriev noted that Washington had engaged in "constructive and respectful" dialogues with Moscow and both sides have plans to restore and strengthen bilateral relations, including broader economic cooperation. He said that the US had listened to Russia’s perspectives and concerns on various issues, particularly those related to geopolitical stability.
Dmitriev’s visit marks the first high-level Russian delegation to Washington since Moscow launched its special military operation in Ukraine in 2022.
