(VOVworld) – Russian President Vladimir Putin approved on Wednesday a treaty with Vietnam on the transfer of convicts to imprisonment which was signed in Hanoi last November.
The Voice of Russia reported that the document will allow Russian judicial authorities to declare amnesty, extenuate penalty, and release Russians who serve sentence in Vietnam and vice versa.
Prisoners can be extradited and continue their imprisonment at home countries upon their agreement.
