(VOVworld)- Between 60 and 70 people died and hundreds others were injured in a huge explosion at a fertiliser plant near Waco in the US state of Texas on Thursday. More than 100 homes and buildings were destroyed in the evening blast and a large fire was reported at the West Middle school. Police immediately blocked the roads around the area. Dozens of helicopters have been deployed for rescue work. Emergency service officials said ammonia may have caused the explosion.
