Singapore Parliament Speaker underlines deepening relations with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Singapore's Parliament Speaker  Tan Chuan-Jin has said his official visit to Vietnam is taking place amid the growing friendship and deepening relationship between the two countries.

Talking to  the Vietnam News Agency reporter on Wednesday after his meeting with National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue in Hanoi, the Parliament Speaker said Singapore is currently one of the largest foreign investors in Vietnam. In addition, the people-to-people ties have been strengthened, while the trust and friendship between the two countries is very important.

Mr. Tan emphasized that the visit is a symbol of all good things in the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore and will continue to develop in the future.

He applauded the host country Vietnam for organizing of the 31st Southeast Asian Games, saying it has been perfect and more importantly, the friendly welcome of the people is impressive.
