(VOVworld) – The 2014 Mekong Delta Economic Cooperation Forum (MDEC) will be held in Soc Trang province, and will focus on the region’s climate change resilience.

This was announced at this year’s Forum which ended on Tuesday in Vinh Long province. This year’s event included 9 conferences and workshops including a Mekong Delta investment promotion conference, and a week dedicated to green environment, green technology, and green economic development. The forum made 6 commitments to be implemented by members of the MDEC steering board, ministries and sectors, Ho Chi Minh city and other cities in the region to promote investment, expand export markets, and promote the image of the Mekong Delta.
