(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh has underlined the speeding up of building circulars instructing the implementation of a government resolution on several policies to develop aquaculture.

At Tuesday working session with related ministries and agencies, Ninh said the resolution is a driving force for the sector with a focus on building a strong fleet of offshore fishing vessels. The move aims to improve the living conditions of fishermen and assert national maritime sovereignty.
Leaders of the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, and the State Bank of Vietnam said their circulars will be completed before the resolution takes effect on August 25^th. Ninh asked the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to outline solutions to involve fishermen in designing their fishing boats while related ministries and agencies should increase investment in infrastructure to support offshore fishing.  Top priority should be given to completing the construction of key fishing ports.
