(VOVworld) – South Korea has called on the North to once again resume dialogue to ease tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, Ministry of Unification spokesman Kim Hyung-suk said that Seoul has offered to hold talks with North Korea. Earlier, the South's Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-Jae issued an official statement calling on Pyongyang to return to negotiations to find a way to normalize activities at the Kaesong industrial complex in the inter-Korea border. The same day, according to Yonhap news agency, South Korean President Park Geun-hye said that her administration would urge dialogue with the North. US President Barack Obama stressed that Washington would continue joint efforts to resolve the North Korea issue through diplomacy. Meanwhile, South Korean political analysts said that there does not yet seen to be any possibility of war between the two Koreas.
