(VNA) - Cooperation between Vietnamese military-run mobile telecom company Viettel and the Information Department of the Mozambique Defence Ministry is widening ties in other sectors.

Major-General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, made the remarks at a reception for Brigadier General Antino Philippe Andres, head of the Mozambique Information Department, during Andre’s working visit to Vietnam on December 5. Andres briefed Giang on the outcome of his visit to Viettel, saying he highly valued the Viettel group for its quick access to and effective operation in the Mozambique market. Giang thanked the Mozambique Military and Government for creating favorable conditions for Viettel to achieve its rapid and sustainable development in the country.
