(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang on Tuesday held a working session with leaders of the People’s Supreme Court on its performance in the first half of the year and plans for the remaining months. He said the courts are the center of judicial activities and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the state and the people: “Courts must bring justice to everyone and protect the interests of the state and the people. Courts are state agencies entrusted by the people so everyone must be equal before the law.”

He asked the court sector to overcome shortcomings in legal administrative procedures to ensure transparency and publicity as part of the ongoing legal reform strategy.
