Tra Vinh province calls for Singaporean investment in industrial parks

(VOVworld) – Authorities of the southern province of Tra Vinh have called on Singaporean firms to invest in technical infrastructure in industrial zones, bonded warehouses, chemical refinery facilities, deep-water ports and Long Toan airport.

At an investment promotion seminar held in Singapore on Wednesday, Chairman of the Tra Vinh provincial People’s Committee Dong Van Lam expressed his hope for partnering with Singapore’s Sembcorp to build the first Vietnam – Singapore industrial park in Tra Vinh province, also the first in the Mekong Delta. Lam affirmed that Tra Vinh provincial leaders will continue working closely with the embassy, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, and the Singapore Investment and Trade Facilitation Authority to meet business demands. Tra Vinh plans to launch a website to lure Singaporean capital inflows following the visit, Lam added.

A number of Singaporean enterprises showed their interest in Tra Vinh province’s infrastructure, seaports, transport, logistics, health care, education, and training.
