(VOVworld) – The annual Tran Temple Festival dedicated to the Tran Kings opened on Wednesday in Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province.

The Festival is held annually from the 13th to 18th day of the first lunar month. The event includes a water procession, a fishing contest, a wrestling contest and folk games. Nguyen Ngoc Trong is a local: "This year’s festival is exciting. Thousands of visitors have come here. Security and order are assured".
The Tran dynasty started in Hung Ha district, Thai Binh 750 years ago. The Tran Temple Festival has been recognized as a national intangible cultural item.
