(VOVWORLD) -US President Donald Trump said Wednesday he expects to reach trade deals, possibly including resumed soybean purchases, with Chinese President Xi Jinping when they meet in South Korea next week for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

Trump said their meeting has been scheduled, and he and Xi “can work out a lot of our questions and our doubts.”
A deal is also possible on nuclear arms, he said, noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin has raised the prospect of a bilateral de-escalation of nuclear weapons, and China could be added to that effort.
