Osius, who is former US Ambassador to Vietnam, is leading a delegation of 64 US companies to Hanoi for a 2025 Vietnam Business Mission, to be followed by a Health & Life Sciences Industry Mission from Thursday to Friday.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday with Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh, Osius said representatives of US businesses say they hope the Vietnamese National Assembly and Government will continue to reform its administrative procedures, optimize Vietnam’s business environment, and support foreign businesses.

NA Vice Chairman Thanh said the NA pays close attention to issues related to the investment and business environment, economic development, and policies to support foreign businesses.

In addition to resources from the state budget, Vietnam hopes to mobilize resources from foreign enterprises and investors, including USABC members, for Vietnam's strategy of rapid, sustainable economic development, Thanh added.
