At Wednesday’s reception in Hanoi for a delegation of aerospace, defence and security companies under the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), PM Chinh underlined the importance of US support for the training of a quality workforce for emerging industries.
Vietnam is poised to improve the business climate to offer the best conditions for US firms to succeed in the country, said Mr. Chinh. He suggested that the USABC and US firms advocate for the US Government to strengthen sustainable economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries; recognize Vietnam as a market economy; and remove Vietnam from the list of countries subject to restrictions on hi-tech exports.
The US guests, who are in Hanoi for the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024, highlighted the vast potential of bilateral cooperation. They affirmed their support for Vietnam’s development; and expressed their wish to continue upholding their role as a bridge between the two nations, and expand collaboration with Vietnamese partners.
