U.S. House of Representatives passes new sanctions against Iran

The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a bill on new sanctions against Iran in an attempt to force this Islamic country to stop its nuclear program.  Accordingly, the U.S. will take tougher measures to eliminate Iran's Central Bank from the global financial system, and call for punishment against countries and companies investing in Iran’s energy sector, providing fuel supply or tips to help Tehran develop chemical, biological and nuclear weapons or other modern weapons. On the same day, the House also passed new sanctions targeting any country or company helping Syria and North Korea develop nuclear, biological and chemical weapons or missile programs.
