US, India committed to respecting sovereignty, territorial integrity in Indo-Pacific

(VOVWORLD) - US President Joe Biden and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized their commitment to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations in the Indo-Pacific and beyond, during a phone talk on Monday.

They also spoke to launch the fourth US-India 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue. The two leaders discussed the destabilizing impacts of the armed conflict in Ukraine on global food supply.

They committed to strengthening the US-India relationship through cooperation on clean energy, technology and military cooperation, and expanded economic and people-to-people ties. They also committed to continue cooperation on ending the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening global health security, advancing global food security, and ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific.
