US, South Korea seek to resume dialogue with North Korea

(VOVWORLD) - The US and South Korea will meet to find a way to restart US-North Korea negotiations, amid recent easing of tensions between the two Koreas, Yonhap news agency said Tuesday.

Lee Do-hoon, South Korean chief of the six-party talks on North Korea's denuclearization, and Joseph Yun, US special envoy for North Korea policy, are scheduled to meet next Monday in Seoul.

South Korea is trying to turn the current peaceful atmosphere into an opportunity to resume negotiations on North Korea’s nuclear ambition, in which the Washington-Pyongyang talks are crucial.
