The North said South Korean media has continued to insult what Pyongyang called sincere measures regarding the Winter Olympics Seoul will host next month. Seoul called North Korea's unilateral notice deeply regrettable, and urged the North to follow through as planned as a first step toward improving inter-Korean relations.
The Feb. 4 performance was planned as part of the activities to be held in both North and South Korea to celebrate the 2018 Winter Olympics. Pyongyang’s cancellation has raised doubts about the improving ties between the two Koreas.
