US urges North Korea to refrain from provocations
(VOVWORLD) - The US government on Tuesday urged North Korea to halt further provocative actions after an inter-Korean liaison office in the Keasong border town was destroyed amid rising tension with South Korea.

A State Department spokesperson said that the US fully supports South Korea’s inter-Korean relations efforts and asked North Korea to refrain from further counterproductive actions. A White House official said the US will be working closely with South Korea after these developments.
The 2018 inter-Korean military pact must be honored, said the South Korean Defense Ministry.
The Korean People’s Army (KPA) said that it will resume regular military drills near the border and reinstall police posts that were withdrawn from the DMZ.
