At a reception for the delegation, Nguyen Van Kien, the Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations praised the visit by the US war veterans to learn more about the war’s consequences, including Agent Orange/ dioxin and unexploded landmines. He also thanked the delegation for their support to Vietnamese Agent Orange/ dioxin victims, in their lawsuit against American chemical companies and their campaigns in the US. Mr. Jones said the visit is to get to know about Vietnam’s current situation and carry out charity work and reconciliation activities. Mr. Suel Jones: When we leave Hanoi, we’re going to Hue, Dong Ha, Quang Tri, A Luoi and visiting Agent Orange/dioxin families and try to understand how difficult the lives of those people are because they live in remote villages. And we try to educate and see how we will do properly, letting the Americans know about the serious problems. As veterans, we must help Vietnamese people. Our job is educate and educate”.

Each member of the delegation will donate 1,000 USD to support Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims.
