Vice President begins official visit to Thailand
(VOVworld) - State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan today arrived in Bangkok for an official visit to Thailand at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
During her four-day visit, Mrs Doan will meet with Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and hold talks with PM Yingluck Shinawatra on measures to boost bilateral cooperation. She will visit the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Village in Nakhon Phanom province, significant because late President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked there from 1928-1929 as part of his overseas trip for national salvation. Vice President Doan will also meet overseas Vietnamese in Khon Kaen province and the provincial governor, and visit the one-pillar pagoda project at Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Park- a symbol of bilateral friendship.
