(VOVworld)-Vice President of Bolivia Álvaro Marcelo García Linera began his official visit to Vietnam on Tuesday.

During talks following the welcoming ceremony, Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan said that Vietnam wants to promote friendship and cooperation with Bolivia. She called for further mutual support in international fora, including the United Nations, the Non-aligned Movement and the East Asia – Latin America Cooperation Forum. Vice President García Linera called for more cooperation in trade and agriculture while pledging an active review of market economy status for Vietnam. They agreed on an early signing of investment protection and promotion and double tax avoidance agreements. They witnessed the signing of visa exemption agreement for diplomatic and official passport holders.
