(VOVworld) - The International Exhibition of Construction Technology (Vietconstech 2014) opened in Hanoi Wednesday with 230 stalls manned by 100 domestic and foreign companies.
The four-day event introduces construction technology products, construction materials, and scientific and technological applications in the construction sector.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh highlighted the important role of the mining industry in national economic development. He said:
“Vietnam will continue to invest in construction works that require the integration of advanced technologies applied to urban railways, undergrounds, and nuclear power plants. The application of construction advanced technologies is vital. I’m glad to see so many foreign and Vietnamese enterprises who have high tech equipment participating in this event. This is an opportunity for investors to introduce their potential technologies and products.”
Conferences on construction technology and construction testing and verification will be held on the sidelines of the event, which expects to draw about 10,000 visitors.
