Vietnam always ready to contribute to ASEAN

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is a committed member always ready to contribute to the efforts of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam ahead of the ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Vientiane, Laos, which will open on Tuesday.

Ambassador Tam said Vietnam's recent contributions to ASEAN can be summarized as proactive implementation, meaningful engagement, and genuine support. During the meetings, delegates will focus on strategic issues concerning ASEAN and the region.
Ambassador Tam said that Vietnam’s delegation, led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, will deliver key messages regarding cooperation between ASEAN and its partners, outline future directions, and emphasize its role in fostering a more connected and resilient ASEAN Community.
