Vietnam and Bolivia strengthen comprehensive cooperation

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh is leading a government delegation on a visit to Bolivia. This is the highest ranking visit by a Vietnamese leader to Bolivia since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.
In the capital La Paz, Deputy Prime Minister Ninh received Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca. Ninh said that the Vietnamese government attaches great importance to boosting friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Latin American countries, including Bolivia for mutual benefit and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region. Ninh then witnessed the signing of a framework agreement on trade and investment between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh and Bolivian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Trade and Integration Clarems Endara. The agreement will be the foundation for the establishment of an Inter-governmental Committee for Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On the same day, he held a working session with representatives from Bolivian businesses organized by the Bolivian Confederation of Private Enterprises (CEPB). The Deputy Prime Minister said his visit proves the Vietnamese Government’s resolve, together with the Bolivian Government, to tighten comprehensive cooperation with priorities being given to economics and trade.
