Vietnam attends international conference on women in South Africa
(VOVworld) – South Africa’s Ministry of Defense and Military Veterans on Saturday held a two-day international seminar to honor female war veterans of national liberation wars and the current process of building democracy, to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, and mark 20 years of South African freedom and democracy.

The seminar was an opportunity for female war veterans worldwide to review historical moments and share experience to help each other overcome challenges and further contribute to a better life for all people, especially women.
Luu Thi Ha, an expert from the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, led the Vietnamese delegation to the event. Ha gave a speech highlighting the importance of Vietnamese women in the war for freedom and independence as well as in national construction and defense. Her speech was well received at the seminar.
