Vietnam attends UN Human Rights Council’s 45th regular session

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to protecting and promoting human rights amid the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting international cooperation and a multilateral approach to the pandemic and post-COVID-19 recovery.

The statement was made by Ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and other international organisations in Geneva, at the UN Human Rights Council’s 45th Regular Session on Monday.

In her speech at a dialogue with the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ambassador Mai said Vietnam attaches great importance to policies and measures to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the livelihoods of Vietnamese people, especially vulnerable groups, in order to leave no one behind.
