Vietnam centers on the people in all its policies and actions
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc attended and acted as a keynote speaker at a discussion session on restructuring the economic system for a sustainable future, and held bilateral meetings with foreign leaders on Tuesday while attending the first Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) in Germany.

In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highlighted Vietnam’s commitment to placing people at the center of all policies and actions, ensuring that economic progress is translated into meaningful improvements in social equity, quality of life, and a greener, more sustainable future.
He praised the international community's support for Vietnam's development and its response to climate change and natural disasters.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Vietnam’s dedication to fulfilling its commitments, including achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and implementing the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), and he expressed hope for continued active support from international partners.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc met with Namibia’s President Nangolo Mbumba, welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, and held discussions with Hamburg's First Mayor, Peter Tschenscher.
