Vietnam, China strengthen audit cooperation

(VOVworld) – Vietnam and China will share experience in improving auditors’ skills and strengthen cooperation in public sector audit, operational audit, and environmental audit.

A cooperation agreement was reached on Wednesday at a meeting between Vietnamese State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Van and his counterpart Liu Jiaji on the sidelines of the 21st Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions in Beijing.

Van told the host that Vietnam is exerting efforts in the fight against corruption and in thrift practice with an increasing role by the audit sector. He expressed his hope that Vietnam will receive continued help from the Chinese State Audit.

Liu said it’s important to enforce audit cooperation agreements to bolster Vietnam-China cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership.
