(VOVWORLD) -President Tran Dai Quang has said Vietnam considers science and education its leading national policy and a momentum for national sustainable growth.

President Quang made the statement at a meeting in Hanoi on Friday with scientists, who attended the workshop “Science for Development.” The workshop held this week in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, is part of the “Meeting Vietnam” Program which marks its 25th anniversary this year.
President Quang praised Binh Dinh for helping the Meeting Vietnam Association in establishing and operating the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education since 2013, making Quy Nhon a venue of the annual gathering of Vietnamese and foreign scientists. He called on scientists to continue their support for the Meeting Vietnam Program and strengthen cooperation with Vietnam to develop its economy based on science and education.
