Vice President Thinh, who is paying an official visit to Cuba from Monday to Thursday, said Vietnam wants to continue sharing experience in national development and defense. She said the Vietnamese Party, State, and people consistently support the Cuban Revolution, and the United Nations General Assembly’s resolutions demanding the US end its economic, trade, and financial sanctions against Cuba.

Ms. Thinh and Mr. Mesa agreed to maintain delegation exchanges in all fields, promote economic and trade links, and carry out joint projects in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, construction, communications, education, and training. They agreed to facilitate access to each other’s markets.

Both said they support the settlement of disputes by peaceful means on the basis of international law and compliance with the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea.
