Vietnam ensures human rights for ethnic minority people

(VOVworld)-Vietnam has implemented human rights for ethnic minority people. Ms Ewa, Chylinski, Senior Consultant of the European Center made the statement at a workshop on international standards in ensuring ethnic minority people’s human rights. The workshop was held in Lam Dong province by the Vietnamese government’s Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and the EU delegation to Vietnam. The attendees discussed ethnic minority laws and policies including social welfare policies and political rights like the rights to vote and the right to participate in government agencies. The delegates agreed the State needs to do more in ethnic minority regions to boost economic growth.
