(VOVworld) – Vietnam has exported around 550,000 tonnes of rice this month, worth more than 230 million USD, bringing the country’s total rice exports to nearly 4 million tonnes, worth 1.8 billion USD. By the end of this month, Vietnam will have signed contracts to export more than 6 million tonnes of rice, up 20% from the same period last year. Wholesale prices of rice in the Mekong Delta have increased significantly thanks to an increase in stockpiling and exporting activities.
