The agreement was signed recently between the management boards of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark and France’s Haute-Provence Global Geopark.
A delegation led by Hoàng Xuân Ánh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cao Bang province, went to France to learn from Haute-Provence Geopark’s management board’s experience in preserving and exploiting natural heritages. According to Mr. Anh, being recognized as a member of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network will open new opportunities for Cao Bang province, which intends to develop its tourism sector, particularly cultural and community-based tourism and ecotourism.
