(VOVworld)- Vietnam always favors the consolidation and enhancement of its the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Laos. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the statement at a reception hosted by the General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), President Choummaly Sayasone in Laos’ southern province of Attapeu yesterday. Phuc said he will direct Vietnam’s ministries, departments and localities to actively implement cooperative agreements in economics, education-training, and security-defence with Laos to further strengthen bilateral relations. 

The same day, leaders of both countries held a meeting with Vietnamese investors in Laos. Vietnam now has 222 investment projects in Laos worth 3.8 billion USD.
