(VOVworld) – Vietnam will, for the first time, host an Asian Advertising Congress (AdAsia) in 2013 in Hanoi. The 28th congress of this kind is scheduled to begin next Monday, and it is estimated that 1,000 delegates from members of the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations and Asian and global communications and advertisement companies and groups will attend.

At a press briefing in Hanoi on Tuesday, the Vietnam Advertising Association said an opening ceremony and an art performance would kick off the congress. A series of professional seminars will also be held focusing on the restructuring of communications and the advertising sector. Dinh Quang Ngu, Vietnam Advertising Association’s President, says:

Twenty four leading world speakers on communications and advertising have been invited to discuss their experiences and disseminate the latest advances regarding advertising and new directions for the sector. At the meeting, two Vietnamese speakers will report on restructuring the communications and advertising industry.

Ngu added that the 2013 AdAsia Congress would be a good opportunity for Vietnam to make exchanges and seek business cooperation, trade promotion, tourism and investment.

As part of the 4-day event, other activities, such as an online ADASIA 2013 Photo Beauty Contest, an international exhibition on advertising technology and equipment, and a hot-air balloon show, will take place all with the shared message of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
