Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phuong Nga was responding to reporters’ questions about the upcoming event at a press briefing on Thursday: "Vietnam and Latin America have many opportunities to foster cooperation in various fields, in the context of increasing economic and global integration. The forum will create the right conditions for the delegates to exchange information and seek out measures to boost bilateral cooperation in economics and trade".

The delegates from the 27 Latin American countries include ministers and deputy ministers in charge of international trade and investment, representatives from Latin American embassies in Vietnam and numerous businesses from the continent.

The forum will focus on three main themes including “Vietnamese - Latin American business investment and ideas for trade and promoting investments”, “Vietnamese - Latin American connectivity, logistics, telecommunications and services” and “Vietnam and Latin America partners in agriculture and energy”.
