(VOVworld) – Renowned foreign and Vietnamese designers are showcasing their latest collections in 17 shows during the first Vietnam International Fashion Week in Ho Chi Minh City which opened on Monday.

The catwalk for fashion shows at the Vietnam International Fashion Week is inspired by the Vietnamese conical hat.

The week-long festival is an excellent opportunity to introduce Vietnamese and foreign designers and acquaint foreign customers with Vietnamese fashion, said Frank Cintamani, the Asian Couture Federation’s founder and chairman of FIDE fashion weeks. Representing Vietnam in the fashion shows are Nguyen Cong Tri, Adrian Anh Tuan, Chung Thanh Phong, Hoang Hai, Hoang Minh Ha, Le Thanh Hoa, Vo Thi Li Lam and Ly Giam Tien.
