Vietnam is ready to help link Belarus with ASEAN
The State President has reiterated Vietnam’s policy of treasuring and promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation with Belarus. Receiving Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich in Hanoi on Nov. 30, President Truong Tan Sang congratulated Belarus on becoming an observer at the ASEAN Inter-parliamentary Assembly and said Vietnam is ready to serve as a bridge linking the Eastern European country and ASEAN. Prime Minister Myasnikovich proposed that the 2 nations increase cooperation in economics, science, education, military technology. Earlier, Vietnam and Belarus released a joint communiqué on the Belarusian Prime Minister’s visit to Vietnam.
