(VOVworld)- The Vietnam-Italy Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation convened its 2nd session in Rome under the co-chairmanship of Italian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa. The two sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral economic and trade ties focusing on infrastructure, renewal energy, mining, aquaculture, garment and textile, footwear, communications and technology. On the occasion, Deputy Ministers Carlo Calenda and Ho Thi Kim Thoa witnessed the signing of a MOU on trade promotion between the two countries' Trade Promotion Agencies. The two sides signed a minute for their second session and agreed to hold their 3rd session in Vietnam next year. The same day, the two officials and the Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Cao Chinh Thien attended the forum "Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement: Business Opportunities and Economic Cooperation for Vietnam and Italy".
