(VOVworld) – The air defence forces of Vietnam and Japan should forge closer links, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, suggested at a reception for visiting Chief of Staff of Japan’s Air Self-Defence Force General Harukazu Saito in Hanoi on Monday.

Ty said cooperation can be enhanced through the exchange of delegations at all levels and sharing experience in aviation safety, disaster response, and rescue.

He noted that the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence will continue to create favourable conditions for the two countries’ air forces to implement bilateral agreements.
