Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia work closer to control drug

The 11th tripartite ministerial meeting on drug control cooperation among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia wrapped up in Vientiane, Laos on Wednesday, 16 November 2011. Delegates discussed ways to promote information exchange and border control measures to fight drug trafficking. They agreed on the need to increase public awareness about the harms of drug abuse. The Vietnamese delegation led by General Pham Quy Ngo, Deputy Minister of Public Security, signed cooperative agreements with Laos and Cambodia to combat drug trafficking next year.
